I've been in online gaming since the mid 90s. My first MMORPG was Ultima Online and The 4th Coming. I also join my first guild when Diablo 2 launched named Keepers of the Last Soulstone.
While playing T4C I was first introduced to roleplay through a play by post format on a site called the Oak Tree Tavern. It was DM'd in a very Dungeon and Dragons sort of way but was way more focused on story than actual stats and levels.
After UO I moved on to other MMOs and started joining roleplay guilds. My first was Age of Conan, then Guild Wars 2, ArcheAge, Black Desert Online and hopefully Pantheon: Rise of the Fallen when it launches with my current guild, Eternus.
My main character has always been called Zason, it was a nickname my sister called me when I was little. At some point I picked up the surname Eurus because of the mythology surrounding it. Lately, I sometimes go with the family name Vanschiver to join a friend's family.
Overtime I became more and more interested in storytelling and character development in my roleplay which might have to do with me being an actor. My characters tend to go from one phase to another, as real people do in life. I throw all sorts of situations at my characters and react in ways that my character might act and not dependent on some planned out arc.
However, I am still learning and enjoying those aspects of roleplay and weaving it with game content and mechanics (coughRP-PVPcough) and looking forward to the new stories and adventures my friends and I can weave.
